The Viridian Canus, and its development partner Terracycle, are acquiring a contaminated former scrap yard in this emergent neighborhood of Philadelphia. The firms intend to clean the site and then redevelop the property for upscale housing and artist work space. The $60 Million dollar project will yield 160 residential units and 16 artist industrial work spaces. The project has been hailed by the local community as a model of good communication and cooperation. The building is being planned as a "green" designated building, utilizing the latest in energy efficient technology, water conservation, and sustainable construction materials. |
